Moms for Safer Wireless is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that educates people about wireless products and the reported health effects of wireless technology. 
 
Our exposure to radiofrequency radiation skyrocketed over the past decade.  One reason for this substantial increase is because cell phone sites have increased from 95,733 in 2000 to 220,500  in 2009,  according to the CTIA-Wireless Association. In addition, 89% of U.S. households use cell phones, and 20% are wireless only households. We can’t hear, taste, smell, or see it, but we are exposed to radiofrequency radiation every time we use wireless products or are near cell phone antennas.
 
Common household products such as cordless phones, cell phones, Wi-Fi, wireless laptops, PDAs, wireless video game controllers and wireless baby monitors emit radiofrequency radiation.  While infrequently using one of these products may not affect you, exposure to many of these products over a long-period of time could affect your health. Of course cell phone towers, antennas, and retail store security systems are everywhere and add to your radiofrequency radiation exposure levels.
